PDIP Has Not Decided On Name, Announcement Of 5 Names Of DKI DPRD Leaders Postponed

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD has postponed the announcement of 5 DKI DPRD leaders for the 2024-2029 period consisting of 1 chairman and 4 deputy chairmen in a meeting today.

In a meeting attended by representatives of the factions, there was a heated debate about whether or not the composition of the leadership of the DKI DPRD was announced or not.

In the structure of the faction leadership, PKS gets the share of the chairman of the DPRD because it gets the most votes in the 2024 DKI DPRD legislative election. Then, one of the PDIP, Gerindra, NasDem, and Golkar members each gets the position of Deputy Chairman of the DPRD.

However, PDIP admits that it has not been able to determine which faction members will occupy the position of Deputy Chairman of the DPRD.

Due to the unpreparedness of the PDIP, the chairman of the interim DPRD, Achmad Yani also decided to postpone the announcement of the name of the DPRD leadership.

"From the results of the discussion for definitive leaders, there is one party that has not submitted its proposal. So, we need to postpone the announcement," said Yani after a meeting at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, September 17.

Yani hopes that PDIP can immediately determine the name of the leadership of the DKI DPRD from its faction before the plenary meeting on the determination of the board's equipment (AKD) is held.

"We here have a togetherness from all councils, factions. We tell you who has not. Please friends can push," said Yani.

Meanwhile, a member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Dwi Rio Sambodo, admitted that his faction still needed time to deposit the name of the Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD from PDIP.

Rio admitted that his faction was still waiting for PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to determine who members of the council would occupy the leadership position in the DKI DPRD.

Moreover, Rio assessed that the determination of the composition of the leadership could be carried out in conjunction with the ratification of the DKI DPRD's rules for the 2024-2029 period.

"We can immediately finish the contract while later there is a process of determining the Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD from the PDI-P. Given, this is the domain of party leaders from the PDI-P," explained Rio.
