Get Support From MUI Leader Zainuri, Pramono Anung: Kiai Who Is Respected By All Governors Of Jakarta

JAKARTA - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung's candidate will receive support from one of the figures of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Zainuri. This was conveyed when Pramono visited Zainuri's residence in Matraman, East Jakarta.

During his visit, Pramono also asked Zainuri to pray for himself and the prospective Deputy Governor Rano Karno to win the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"I did deliberately specifically ask for input, suggestions, and also what Kiai wanted," said Pramono, Tuesday, September 17.

Pramono explained the reason why he took the time to visit Zainuri's residence. According to the Cabinet Secretary, Zainuri is a religious figure who is respected by the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"So Mr. Kiai Zainuri is Kiai who is respected by all governors in Jakarta. Whether it's Bang Foke, Mr. Ahok, Mr. Anies, Mr. Jokowi, Mr. PJ Governor. Because everyone pays respect to him, of course he has advantages that only he knows the truth," said Pramono.

If later elected as Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta with Rano Karno in the 2024 Pilkada, Pramono promised to return to meet Zainuri.

"So that we all note, Mr. Kiai, if this becomes my mandate, I will come again to Mr. Kiai's place," he said.

Meanwhile, Zainuri appreciated Pramono's arrival at his residence. Zainuri also stated that he and residents in his home environment supported Pramono-Rano in the Jakarta Pilkada.

"I feel touched, feel proud of his presence, so with my pride, I have high hopes, we have put high hopes in Mas Pramono Anung, hopefully he will be in his celebration to become governor in the Special Region of Jakarta for 2024-2029, blessed by Allah SWT," explained Zainuri.
