Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Kasat Lalu), Kompol Gomos Simamora confirmed that his party would impose a fine on motorists who were desperate to break through the Kemayoran railroad crossing gate on Jalan Perlantas Langsung (JPL) No. 11 Km 2+595, Rajawali-Kemayoran road plot, Central Jakarta on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

"If he (the vehicle driver) endangers himself and others, by crossing the railroad bars, it will be ticketed. If there are (violations) we will ticket," said Kompol Gomos when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, September 17.

Currently, his party together with PT KAI are still conducting the socialization stage until Wednesday, September 18, tomorrow. This activity, according to Kompol Gomos, is part of the commemoration of KAI's 79th Anniversary and the 69th Anniversary of Traffic.

"Currently there is no ticket, we provide education to all motorists. The application of tickets on Thursday starts at 9 am. Later on Thursday we will make a SPrin (task order), we will make a SPrin assignment," he said.

As previously reported, along with the many traffic accidents at the Kemayoran train crossing (KA), due to vehicles breaking through the crossing gate. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta decided to impose a ticket sanction on pedestrians at the track gate in Jakarta.

The ticket sanctions will be applied on Jalan Perlantasan Langkat (JPL) No. 11 Km 2+595, the Rajawali-Kemayoran road plot, Central Jakarta on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Public Relations Manager of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Ixfan said, PT Kereta Api Indonesia Daop 1 Jakarta and the Central Jakarta Metro Police are still conducting socialization of the safety of railroad crossings to improve the safety of train travel, passengers, and the community in the Daop 1 Jakarta area.

Socialization with banners and safety attributes was carried out for 2 days from Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18. Then on Thursday, September 19, strict action was taken in the form of a ticket.

"On September 19, traffic violations (trade crossings) will be dealt with by direct fines (by the Central Jakarta Police Traffic Unit)," said Ixfan when confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, September 17.
