Sugeng Teguh Santoso Curigai Practices Extortion At The Tumpah Market On Merdeka Street, Bogor

The existence of the Spill Market on Merdeka Street, Central Bogor has begun to be complained of by residents. On the one hand, traders also admitted that they were afraid of intimidation and thuggery by unscrupulous mass organizations if they were willing to be relocated by the Bogor City Government.

Regarding this, a member of the Bogor City DPRD, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, believes that seeking a livelihood through this business is indeed the right of traders, but the rights that are used must not disturb public order and reduce the rights of road users.

The second is Sugeng explained, based on existing data, the information he received from the public that the traders at the Tumpah Market were not actually residents of Bogor City. They are traders who come from the district.

"Now, residents of this Regency get money in Bogor City. But they also don't provide incentives for Bogor City in the form of APBD. He just pays the PBB in Regency," said Sugeng at an event on Jl. Daksinapati Raya 6B, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Sunday 15 September 2024.

Sugeng suspects that there is extortion by local ASN personnel in the management of the spilled market, such as lighting for traders at night, quoted by ASN personnel.
