A Fire In Cilincing From The Implementation Of The Exploding Tiner

JAKARTA - North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) and the Thousand Islands fires in Semper Timur, Rawamalang Village RT 05/10, Semper Timur, Cilincing, started with a tiner distillation furnace that suddenly exploded.

The North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat Sub-dept. (Sudin) stated that the total loss due to the fire at the Tiner distillation site in North Jakarta reached Rp. 25 million.

"The fire at the Tiner distillation site in Harapan Gemilang Semper Timur, Rawamalang Village RT 05/10, Semper Timur, Cilincing," said Head of the Operations Section of the North Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. and the Thousand Islands, Gatot Sulaeman, as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 14.

There were no fatalities or serious injuries as a result of the fire. "The burned area reached about 200 square meters with an estimated loss of around Rp. 25 million,"

Gatot said the report of the fire was received through the 112 call center service at 09.54 WIB.

After receiving the report, his party immediately dispatched nine fire engines with 45 personnel to the location.

"The object that caught fire was garbage. The extinguishing process began at 10.02 WIB, the fire was successfully localized at 10.19 WIB and then cooling down at 10.31 WIB and the blackout ended at 11.53 WIB," said Gatot.

Gatot explained that the hotspot started with a tiner distillation furnace. At that time, the worker was burning the distillation furnace and suddenly an explosion occurred.

"The workers were burning the tiner distillation furnace and suddenly exploded. Residents tried to extinguish it using a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR), but failed. The fire was getting bigger," said Gatot.
