Kompolnas Investigates Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa's Involvement In The Tin Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The name of Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa several times appeared in the trial of the alleged corruption case in the management of tin commodity trading in the mining business permit (IUP) area of PT Timah Tbk for the period 2015 to 2022. In this regard, the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) stated that it was investigating its relationship.

"We continue to monitor the proceedings of the trial from the time there was news that his name was mentioned in the trial," said Kompolnas Commissioner Yusuf Wasyim to VOI, Friday, September 13.

The investigation carried out by Kompolnas is by collecting additional instructions outside the trial. So, later it will be able to prove or refute the alleged connection between Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa in the tin corruption case.

"We are currently examining the available information, while collecting additional data from various sources to ascertain whether there are strong indications that Mukti Juharsa can be linked to this case," he said.

Later, all information obtained by Kompolnas regarding Brigadier General Mukri Juharsa will be submitted to the General Supervision Inspectorate (Itwasum) of the Indonesian National Police for follow-up.

This was done according to the authority of Kompolnas. Thus, it did not immediately clarify the findings obtained to Brigadier General Mukri Juharsa.

Meanwhile, during the trial, Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa was referred to as the party who introduced the defendant Harvey Moeis to representatives of PT Timah Tbk. In fact, asking Sandra's husband to be assisted in terms of tin problems.

This was revealed based on the statement of the former general manager (GM) of PT Timah Tbk Province, Bangka Belitung Islands, Ahmad Syahmadi, who was presented as a witness.

"What is the announcement, sir?" asked the prosecutor.

"The point is PT Timah's aspirations are 50 percent, the forum agreed to 5 percent," replied Syahmadi.
