Survey Of Indicators: West Java Cagub-Cawagub Usungan PKB Has Not Been Able To 'Gift' Anies-Muhaimin Voters, Only 2 Percent

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Political Indicators survey institute released a poll on the level of support for prospective Governor-Deputy Governors (cagub-cawagub West Java in the 2024 Pilkada.

The indicator maps the voter base in the 2024 presidential election with support for the prospective West Java cagub-cawagub.

As a result, the voter base of Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) who supports the West Java cagub-cawagub of PKB usungan, Acep Adang Ruhiyat-Gitalis Dwi Natarna is very minimal, which is only 2 percent.

"Although Muhaimin Iskandar is a PKB, it seems that the Acep and Gitalis pairs have not been able to get their blessings," said lead researcher for Political Indicators, Hendro Prasetyo in an online survey presentation, Thursday, September 12.

The pair that received the most support from Anies-Muhaimin voters, Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan, was 50.9 percent. Followed by Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Akbar Habibie's pair at 37.1 percent.

Meanwhile, the Jeje Wiradinata-Ronal Surapradja pair was only supported by 1.8 percent of Anies-Muhaimin voters.

"Those who get the blessings from the Anies-muhaimin pair are still limited to Dedi Mulyadi and Ahmad Syaikhu," said Hendro.

Furthermore, if you look at Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's voter base, the majority support Dedi-Erwan, which is 85.8 percent. The voter base of Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD also chose Dedi-Erwan the most, which was 72.7 percent.

"If we look at a pattern like this, for the time being at least this September, Pak Prabowo's base is relatively more solid to Dedi. Meanwhile, the bases of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar have not yet led to the full number of candidates," he added.

For information, this survey was conducted in the period 2-8 September 2024 with a total sample of 1,200 respondents who are residents of DKI Jakarta aged over 17 years or married.

The withdrawal of respondents was obtained through a multistage random sampling technique with a margin of error of up to 2.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
