Riza Patria Becomes A Strong Candidate For Chairman Of Ridwan Kamil-Suswono's Success Team In The Jakarta Pilkada

JAKARTA - The governor candidate (Readub) in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, Ridwan Kamil (RK) said that the former Deputy Governor of DKI Ahmad Riza Patria was a strong candidate for the chairman of the success team (timses) at the democratic party.

"The dynamics in our team are not simple. It takes understanding. It seems that it has narrowed to Mr. Ahmad Riza Patria," said RK in response to the press after meeting with former DKI Jakarta Governor Sutiyoso at the residence of Sutiyoso, Bekasi, West Java, as reported by Antara, Thursday, September 12.

He explained that his consideration was because Riza Patria understood the political map in Jakarta. "The consideration is that he is a former deputy governor. Understand the map of Jakarta, both geographical, demographic and political maps in Jakarta. However, wait for the official announcement," said RK.

Meanwhile, regarding the cancellation of the General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni as the head of his team because Sahroni had an assignment at the central level.

"Mr. Sahroni apparently got a specific assignment at the central level and could not be maximized in the field," he said.

The candidate pair (paslon) RK-Suswono advanced for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada with the support of a fat coalition from a number of political parties, namely the Gerindra Party, Golkar Party, PAN, Democratic Party, PSI, PKB, NasDem, PPP, and Perindo.

The couple also received support from non-parliamentary political parties, namely the Gelora Party, Garuda Party, Crescent Star Party, PRIMA and the Nusantara Awakening Party.

The other two candidate pairs are Pramono Anung - Rano Karno who is supported by the PDI-P and the Hanura Party and independent Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.
