Kemenkominfo Gets Additional Budget Of IDR 10 Billion For Free Nutrition Food Socialization

JAKARTA - The government has budgeted IDR 10 billion to promote and disseminate information regarding a nutritious eating program as a flagship program for the Government for the period 2025-2029 in 2025.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi at the Budget Work Plan Adjustment Work Meeting (RKA) of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics in 2025.

"Based on information from the DPR RI leaders that we received on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, there was an additional budget allocation of Rp. 10,000,000,000 for the Ministry of Communication and Information so that the Ministry of Communication and Information budget ceiling became Rp. 7,728,907,593,000. It is proposed that the addition be allocated for the management and dissemination of information on thematics of nutritious eating programs," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, September 11.

Budi said that later the management of dissemination of theme information for a nutritious eating program would be included in the public communication work program carried out by the Directorate General of Information and Public Communication as well as public quasi-institutions.

In terms of wider public communication, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics for 2025 has indeed prepared a plan to screen public information on priority programs in the field of Human Development and Culture (PMK) as well as the fields of Politics, Law and Security (Polhukam).

In addition, the public communication budget for 2025 is also prepared to execute public communications from government media, prepare a draft Law on the Central Information Commission (KIP), and disseminate information about national and international activities that take place in Indonesia.

Overall the funds budgeted in the RKA of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics for the Public Communication program reached IDR 230.8 billion for 2025.

The Working Meeting also discussed other programs that will be carried out by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics starting from the program of providing information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure with a total budget plan of IDR 3.5 trillion with supervisors, namely the Directorate General of Post and Information Administration (Ditjen PPI) and the Telecommunication and Information Accessibility Agency (BAKTI).

Then there is the ICT Utilization program which is prepared to cost IDR 1.3 trillion by involving the supervisor of the Directorate General of Informatics Applications (APTIKA), the Directorate General of PPI, and the Human Resources Development Agency.

Furthermore, there is also a Frequency Spectrum Management Program, Devices and Public Services Standards involving the supervisor of the Directorate General of Post and Informatics Equipment Resources (SDPPI), the Directorate General of PPI, and the Directorate General of APTIKA with a budget prepared worth IDR 490.6 billion.

And the last program which is a management support program with the supervisory staff of the Secretariat General, Inspectorate General, Secretariat of the Directorate General, Secretariat of the Agency, Secretariat of the Inspectorate General who is prepared to get a budget of IDR 2.1 trillion.

If all of them are totaled, the Ministry of Communication and Information will get a total budget for 2025 of IDR 7,728,907,593,000 and it can be said that the budget has decreased by 49 percent compared to 2024.

However, the Rp7.7 trillion budget was approved by Commission I of the DPR RI at the Joint Working Meeting.
