Puan Maharani Calls The Bill On Asset Confiscation To Be The Discussion Of The Next Period Of The DPR

Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, said that the Bill (RUU) on Asset Confiscation would be discussed by members of the next period of the council, namely the 2024-2029 period. "This is a very short time, and later there will be members of the House of Representatives for the next period," said Puan explaining at the parliament complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, September 10. Puan said that the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period is currently focusing on things that must be resolved until October 1, 2024. Meanwhile, October 1 is the time for the inauguration of members of the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period. "We wait until the next period changes while completing the things that must be resolved," he stressed. Previously, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI Ahmad Sahroni also said that the Bill on Asset Confiscation would be brought to the DPR RI period for the next term of office. "The trial period is only a few days away. So, maybe in the future trial period, in a new period," said Sahroni at Borobudur University, Jakarta, Sunday (8/9). The encouragement to complete the discussion and ratification of the Asset Confiscation Bill was conveyed by President Joko Widodo.
