2 Students Become Victims Of Collapse Of The Vocational Hall Of SMAN 7 Banjarmasin, BPBD Performs Assessment

SOUTH KALIMANTAN - At least two students became victims of the collapse of the meeting hall at SMAN 7 Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Kalsel).

"There were two students who suffered minor trauma and injuries named Maulida and Salsabila and both were evacuated to Bhayangkara Hospital for medical treatment," said Banjarmasin City BPBD Chief Executive Husni Thamrin in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Monday, September 9, as reported by Antara.

Husni Thamrin said that his party immediately rushed to the field to conduct an assessment after receiving reports of the incident.

The meeting hall at SMAN 7 Banjarmasin collapsed when it was going to be used for school order socialization.

"Some of the floors in the hall collapsed and there were students who suffered minor injuries from the incident," said Principal of SMAN 7 Banjarmasin Arjudin.

Arjudin said the collapse of the floor of the meeting hall occurred on Monday 9 September at around 13.00 WITA, at that time only a few students had just entered the hall.

"Maybe about 40 students have just entered the hall, and there is one student who had to be rushed to Bhayangkara Hospital because he was traumatized," he said.

In addition, Arjudin said the hall building was indeed an old building of about 50 years and this incident would be completely closed and temporarily unused.
