KPU Will Check 107 Candidates For Regional Heads For The 2024 Regional Head Elections Have Not Completed LHKPN

The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) has checked 107 candidates for regional heads who have not completed the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) to run in the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada.

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Mochammad Afifuddin said that the completeness of the LHKPN was still being researched until the determination of the candidate pair on September 22, 2024.

"It's still being researched until the determination, right. We'll check it later," Afif said at the Indonesian KPU Office, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 9.

He also explained that the Regional KPU released the completeness of the candidate for regional head.

"This is what states the complete incompleteness of friends in the provinces, districts/cities. We'll check it later," he said.

Previously, Sunday, September 8, the Corruption Eradication Commission stated that 1,325 of the 1,432 State Official Wealth Reports (LHKPN) for regional head candidates were complete.

"Data as of this morning, the KPK has received LHKPN from 1,432 candidates for regional heads (brajada), and 1,325 readings have been declared complete," said KPK Spokesperson Team member Budi Prasetyo in Jakarta, Sunday.

Budi explained that the incompleteness of the LHKPN was mostly caused by the absence of a power of attorney.

Therefore, he continued, the KPK again reminded that the submission of LHKPN must be equipped with a joint power of attorney.

Meanwhile, to prospective regional head candidates who want to report LHKPN directly, the KPK is still opening a special LHKPN delivery reception service this weekend until 14.00 WIB at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building.
