JAKARTA - The decision of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to temporarily stop the construction of new nutrition service and fulfillment units (SPPG) has been complained by partners. The General Chairman of the Association of Food and Nutrition Indonesia for Remote, Frontier, and Outer Regions (APGI 3T), Herwil Junaidi Harefa admitted that the policy had harmed the partners up to Rp. 8.7 trillion.

"Today at APGI there are approximately 1,200 members. When we calculate the average development of Rp. 1.5-2 billion. That is, if the assumption is 5,457, there is a potential of Rp. 8.7 trillion in public money that is harmed," said Herwil in a working meeting with Commission IX of the DPR quoted by the Parliament TV channel, Tuesday, July 14.

Herwil said that the BGN decision was inseparable from Presidential Regulation 12 concerning the Governance of the MBG program. In the presidential regulation, the implementation of the MBG program in Indonesia consists of only 32 regencies/cities.

According to Herwil, BGN should use the latest reference rules regarding the MBG program. The rule he meant was Presidential Regulation Number 115 of 2025 concerning the Governance of the MBG Program.

"When there is a policy, then the new leadership must be committed to continuing. Therefore, Mr., our concern in remote areas is that yesterday there was a meeting with BGN. From the leadership, it was conveyed that the temporary ones that will operate are 30 regencies/cities," he said.

"In fact, when we talk there, Sulawesi is not anyone who enters at all, sir. Kalimantan is no longer entering. West Sumatra, Mentawai is not entering. Well, then we want to encourage, hopefully the leadership of Commission IX can convey the commitment and consistency of this BGN is very necessary," he explained.
