The suspect in the case of misappropriation of regional retribution funds collected from loading and unloading at Benuo Taka Port, East Kalimantan Province, entrusted state compensation to the North Penajam Paser District Attorney amounting to Rp1.05 billion.

"There is a deposit of state compensation that has been handed over by the suspect," said Head of the North Penajam Paser District Attorney Faisal Arifuddin, quoted from ANTARA, Sunday, September 8.

"The collection of money to compensate for state losses came from two suspects," he added.

The Special Criminal Investigation Team (Pidsus) has submitted the suspect, files, and evidence in the case of misappropriation of regional levy funds from loading and unloading activities at Benuo Taka Port to the Public Prosecutor Team (JPU) for immediate trial.

The Pidsus Investigative Team named the former Director of the Benuo Taka Regional Public Company (Perumda) with the initials HY and the Head of the Finance Section of Perumda Benuo Taka with the initials KA as suspects in the case.

The handling of the case of misappropriation of retribution funds at Benuo Taka Port has been going on since 2021, but can only now be resolved due to problems in collecting evidence.
