Support Pramono 'Dugab', PWNU Jakarta: This Is The Figure You Have Been Waiting For

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management supports Pramono Anung as a candidate for governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. Chairman of the Jakarta PWNU Rois Syuriah, KH Muhyidin Ishaq, assesses that Pramono is a figure that Jakarta residents have been waiting for.

"I think this is indeed the figure that the people of Jakarta have been waiting for," said KH Muhyidin after a meeting with Pramono at his residence in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Saturday, September 7.

According to Muhyidin, Pramono is suitable to lead Jakarta because he already understands the ins and outs of the former capital, which is now a special area.

"He who seems suitable to lead Jakarta, understands the culture of the people of Jakarta, understands the ins and outs and problems that must be resolved by leaders who will visit Jakarta," said Muhyidin.

Muhyidin emphasized that his support for the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair should not be asked again. "I think if this is the case, the body gesture must be read," he said.

Personally, Muhyidin admitted that he was waiting for anyone who would fight in the Jakarta gubernatorial election. However, he was grateful that Pramono finally ran for office.

"In my opinion, this is a new candidate but old stock. So things that the people of Jakarta are really waiting for. How can we fight against empty boxes? How do I say this, after he declares himself ready to move forward, God willing, we will be there," he concluded.
