The Governor Of DKI Elected For The 2024 Pilkada Must Be Ready To Join MRT From Ancol To JIS

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta governor candidate Pramono Anung said the elected governor of the 2024 Pilkada must be ready to connect the MRT from Ancol to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

"So whoever becomes governor will have to connect the end MRT at Ancol to JIS," Pramono said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 7.

Pramono said that the MRT development is certainly in line with Jakarta's goal to become a developing city like others.

He hopes that the upcoming governor will learn about the development of the cities of the world which are currently confirmed to have adequate public transportation.

"Public public transportation must already exist, that's what we will do," he said.

He also said that the JIS infrastructure was not enough to accommodate more than 40,000 football matches.

In addition, JIS is also used to watch concerts, one of which has been filled with Indonesian bands with many fans, namely Dewa 19. Therefore, it is necessary to add facilities, one of which is the affordability of public transportation.

"At that time, Dewa was only able to meet with public transportation or cars for two hours," he said.

Pramono Anung-Rano Karno is one of the three pairs of candidates (paslon) for governor and deputy governor in the 2024 DKI Pilkada, apart from RK-Suswono and independent candidate pair Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

The three candidate pairs have officially registered with the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU).

The regional elections to elect governors, regents and mayors will be held simultaneously in all regions on November 27, 2024.
