Clashes Between Two Youth Groups In Duren Sawit, Road Users Give Horns To Disband

JAKARTA - Two groups of youths were involved in a brawl on Jalan Pahlawan Revolution, Klender, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta, Friday, September 6, evening.

Two groups of youths from two opposing areas were involved in attacking each other using wood, stones and other objects.

The brawl took place in the middle of Jalan Pahlawan Revolution, so that it had caused traffic jams. A number of vehicles continue to honk their horns so that the brawlers disperse.

However, the efforts of the riders were ignored by the perpetrators of the brawl. They continue to be involved in buying and selling attacks, attacking in groups.

The commotion did not last long after many motorcyclists were about to pass and then shouted at the perpetrators of the brawl. The two groups of youths then pulled their colleagues to their respective areas.

Duren Sawit Police Chief, AKP Sutikno confirmed the brawl that occurred in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.

"We have checked the location and disbanded the masses. To anticipate further disturbances, we will guard the location," said AKP Sutikno when confirmed by VOI, Friday, September 6, evening.

The motive for the brawl between this group of youths is not yet known. The Duren Sawit Police are also still investigating the cause of the commotion.

Meanwhile, the location of the incident was immediately guarded by the Diren Sawit Police. The Duren Sawit Police Chief, Kompol Sutikno, also directly led security at the location of the brawl on Friday night.

"We have deployed a team to the location to guard and anticipate," he said.
