JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is still investigating the authenticity of a photo of Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution traveling on a private jet. This process is important before calling him to ask for clarification.

"(The Directorate of Gratification, ed) is confirming the photo whether the original will then send a letter requesting clarification," said KPK Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring Pahala Nainggolan to reporters, Friday, September 6.

"The clarification process, continued Pahala, will definitely be carried out if it is proven that the photo is original. Yes (clarification is carried out, ed) because (Bobby Nasution, ed) is the state administrator," he said.

Previously reported, a photo of President Joko Widodo's son-in-law (Jokowi) who is also the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution allegedly boarded a private jet uploaded by the X account, @MultadhaOne1 on Wednesday, August 28. One of them shows him walking on the apron with the background of a private plane parked behind him.

In his upload, this account states that Bobby Nasution and his family also board private jets that are suspected to belong to other parties. "Is this a gratification or not @KPK_RI?" he asked.

The netizen then said the photo was taken around February 18-20, 2023 at Polonia Airport, which has now changed its name.
