Sandiaga Prays For Anies To Succeed In Establishing A Party, But Refuses To Join

JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) who is also a PPP politician, Sandiaga Uno, responded to Anies Baswedan's discourse that he would create a political party (political party). According to Sandiaga, if you want to enter politics, you must of course become a party cadre.

"Interestingly, because we had a partnership, supported by the Gerindra Party and PKS. At that time we had discussions about establishing a party, maybe his thoughts and we have to respect them because he wants to continue to contribute. In my opinion, if you really believe in politics, you must participate," Sandiaga said, Friday, September 6.

He also gave an example of himself joining Gerindra Party cadres and now at PPP. The former Deputy Governor of Jakarta also prayed for his former partner to successfully establish a political party.

"Pak Anies wants to establish a party, we pray that success can make the best contribution to the nation and state," he continued.

However, Sandiaga refused if he was invited to join the party that Anies would establish. The reason is, he has become a PPP cadre.

"I am a PPP cadre now, I have been assigned to the ministry and coincidentally I have joined PPP," he said.
