TANGERANG - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of South Tangerang City, Banten, reported that 110 families (KK) in the area were starting to be affected by drought due to the dry season.
"With a total of 110 families affected," said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of BPBD South Tangerang City (Tangsel) Essa Nugraha in Tangerang, Antara, Thursday, September 5.
He said the 110 heads of families affected by the drought were in the Keranggan area, Setu District, South Tangerang City. With the impact of this disaster, the South Tangerang BPBD has begun to distribute water supplies for the daily needs of residents in the two villages.
"Residents affected by the dry season are scattered in Kocak Village RT 06 RW 02 and Kampung Keranggan RT 012 RW 005, Kelurahan Keranggan," he said.
He revealed that his party had served the demand for clean water supply in the two settlements with a distribution of 8000 liters of water.
The source of clean water, according to him, came from PDAM Tirta Kerta Raharja in Serpong. A total of 8,000 thousand liters of water were transported in two cars belonging to the Cipta Karya Service and the South Tangerang City BPBD.
"Yes, we will respond as quickly and as much as possible to meet the needs of the affected communities, according to the standards or response time for disaster management," said Essa Nugraha.
