KPAI Asks Police To Seriously Handle Trauma Toddlers Who See Bloody Action Between Father And Mother At Sunday Market

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) spoke about a 5-year-old toddler who saw his parents fighting, causing the mother of the toddler to die, in a rented house in the Pasar Minggu area, South Jakarta.

KPAI commissioner Diyah Puspitarini asked the police to burden the article against the US perpetrator (30), who killed his wife, FF (36) in front of his son.

Not without reason, because what he saw at that time would have a bad impact on his toddler.

"The police can use children's traumatic information to burden the perpetrators. Violations of children's rights by causing child psychological violence. That can be included in Article 80 of the Child Protection Law," said Diyah when confirmed, Wednesday, September 4.

He also asked the Technical Implementation Unit for the Protection of Women and Children (UPTD PPA) and the police to be more serious in providing trauma healing for the toddler.

Because for him, if it is not handled seriously, then something that the toddler sees will be recorded. Later, it is very likely that the child will be more temperamental.

"Get inside more into the 'underaware' of the child. Children who see, hear can one day imitate the actions taken by their parents," he concluded.
