Pope Francis' Message At The Cathedral: Don't Forget, Satan Is Always In Our Saku

JAKARTA - Pope Francis had mentioned that the devil is always in everyone's pocket who likes to dredge up wealth.

He conveyed this when he spoke with bishops, priests, nurses, lecturers, seminarists and preachers when he visited the Cathedral Church, Wednesday, September 4. Pope Francis said he knew people in Argentina who were rich but when he died alone.

"People around him make a funny thing to say, 'poor kid, poor guy because he's so eager to get from the others, but then can't cover his own coffin'," Pope Francis said.

Pope Francis then explained that the world will always move forward. However, humans should not use it for their personal interests but must pay attention to others.

In fact, every Catholic is asked to always prioritize human-defense. "Therefore, please don't forget, the devil is always in the pocket," said the leader of this Catholic.

Meanwhile, the Bishop of Bogor, Mgr Paskalis Bruno Sukur, explained that Pope Francis' message meant that humans should be careful with money. Do not let matter dominate the heart.

"He said the devil is in the pocket, in the sense of money, which affects people if they no longer have a love heart, then the money will make people act like demons. Enmity of people, dredging people, just because they are degating money. That means the pocket," he said when met by reporters in the courtyard of the Cathedral Church, Jakarta.
