Two Men In Tangerang Arrested By Residents After Stealing A Bag Containing Rp100 Million In Cash

TANGERANG - Badarudin Adinsyah (51) and Arif Munandar (37) were arrested by residents of Jalan Gajah Mada, Pinang, Tangerang City, when they were caught stealing Rp100 million in Andy Kurniawan's bag (44), Monday, September 2, at 15.00 WIB.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang City Metro Police, Kompol David Y Kanito, explained that the perpetrator had been detained at the Pinang Police.

"Two perpetrators and the vehicle used by the perpetrator were secured by residents and handed over to the Pinang Police," said Police Commissioner David Y Kanito, Tuesday, September 3.

David explained, initially Arif and Badarudin went around on motorbikes. Arriving near Bank BCA Alam Sutera, Arif looked for targets in the area. Meanwhile, Badarudin waited in the motorcycle parking area.

While Badarudin was waiting in the parking lot, he saw the victim carrying a brown bag into a black Innova.

Furthermore, Badarudin followed the victim and informed his colleague that he had found the target.

When the victim was careless, Arif immediately moved quickly by placing used nails and placing them on the rear tire of the victim's car, then following them from behind.

"When the victim's car was stuck in traffic. The victim repaired a flat tire. At that time Badarudin got into the car through the back right door and took the victim's bag containing Rp100 million in cash," he continued.

Luckily, the perpetrator's actions were known. Andy immediately shouted. Arif and Badarudin moved quickly to escape on their motorbike.

Residents who knew about the incident immediately chased the perpetrators until their efforts were Badarudin and Arif was arrested.

"Furthermore, residents handed over the two perpetrators and the vehicle used by the perpetrators to the Pinang Police," he said.

Currently, the two perpetrators are still being investigated at the Pinang Police, undergoing legal proceedings.
