KPK Has Not Yet Pocketed Information About The Existence Of Kaesang

Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango admitted that his agency did not yet know information regarding the whereabouts of the youngest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep.

Currently, the KPK is preparing to schedule a summons for Kaesang to ask for clarification on the alleged gratification of the use of private jet facilities to the United States some time ago.

"No, no, we don't know where. We haven't been informed yet," said Nawawi, Tuesday, September 3.

Nawawi claimed that the KPK had asked the Directorate of Gratification and the Directorate of Public Report Complaints to schedule clarification. However, regarding the certainty of time, he was reluctant to speak further.

"My director gave an answer that they are temporarily preparing the scheduling for the clarification," he explained.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Alexander Marwata claimed to have ordered the Director of Gratification to follow up on the polemic of a private jet used by Kaesang Pangarep and his wife Erina Gudono. This kind of information must be investigated because everyone has the same position in the eyes of the law.

"We have the same principle for everyone in the same position before the law. The leadership itself has actually ordered the Director of gratification, please clarify the information from the media," Alexander told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, August 27.

Alexander emphasized that his subordinates should not hesitate to follow up on this information. "It is a public concern, it is also a public concern, yes we must also be sensitive," he said.

"Don't let the community's questions hang, what is this happening, is it in gratification? Who provides the facilities and so on must be clear," continued Alexander.
