DKI Provincial Government Again Trials For Free Nutrition, This Time It's IDR 25 Thousand For Fried Rice Plus Chicken Menu

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has again conducted a nutritious trial of eating for elementary school (SD) students and this time it was carried out by SDN Gunung 01 Pagi, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

"Today there are 650 packages of SDN Gunung 01 schools, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, for children with breakfast," said Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono, Tuesday, September 3.

In this free nutritious trial activity, the menu served is fried rice, eggs, chicken, oranges and cucumber which has gone through a test by the DKI Jakarta Health Office to ensure the health of school children.

The calorie content test is carried out on each food box distributed.

"Today, like children, they eat well, it fits the tastes of our students and this is what we need to pay attention to in addition to calories," he said.

He targets to visit schools in DKI Jakarta to conduct free nutritious food trials.

In this nutritious food trial activity, his party collaborated with PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk. The value or price range of free nutritious food given to elementary school students in Jakarta is IDR 20,000 to IDR 25,000 per serving.

The free nutritious eating program aims to increase nutritional adequacy, increase children's intelligence, prevent growth and developmental disorders (stunting) and ultimately improve the quality of human resources (HR) in this country.

Prevention of stunting remains a priority for the Government of Indonesia, which succeeded in reducing its prevalence from 37.2 percent in 2013 to 21.5 percent in 2023.

The government has allocated a budget of around Rp71 trillion, or 0.29 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), for the program.
