Bareskrim Polri Dismantles The Practice Of Spreading Child Porn Content And Same Types, Thousands Of Videos Confiscated

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, has uncovered cases of spreading child and same-sex pornographic content. Of these cases, thousands of exciting videos were confiscated.

"Investigators confiscated 5,600 videos and 295 photos," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Erdi A Chaniago in his statement, Tuesday, September 3.

In the case of distributing the pornographic video, a young man with the initials MAN alias Aden (24) was named a suspect after being arrested at his residence in South Sumatra on Friday, August 23.

The disclosure of the case began with a cyber patrol carried out by the Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri, regarding child pornography content on social media.

"Starting from cyber patrols carried out by investigators, two accounts of social media platform X were found which spread the link to the telegram group 'VIDEO VIP PORN' which contained child pornography and adult content (gay)," he said.

Then investigators conducted further investigations into the admin of the group who offered pornographic videos of children and adults by registering through Aden's account and username @maxproooooo.

The account admin also sent a message containing a package, namely 3 telegram groups at a price of Rp. 100,000 and another package, namely 3 telegram groups plus VCS service services (Video Call Sex) which can be obtained through the telegram account @talent60 at a price of Rp. 150 thousand.

The perpetrator was finally arrested at a male friend's house in the Ogan Komering Ilir area, South Sumatra. From the results of the examination, the perpetrator turned out to have a same-sex sexual orientation, where the perpetrator got acquainted with his girlfriend who was a man through social media.

"The perpetrator's motive is to sell pornographic content for material gain and has been carried out since 2022," he said.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 45 paragraph (1) Jo Article 27 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 29 Jo Article 4 paragraph (1) Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning pornography with a penalty of 12 years and a fine of Rp. 6 billion.
