PDIP Survey Reaches 20 Percent, Hasto Asks Cadres Not Satisfied

JAKARTA - Secretary-General of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto is grateful that his party's electoral position is still at the highest position in all credible surveys institutions.

The last survey conducted by the Charta Politika survey institute placed PDIP in the highest electoral position, namely 20.7%. The second is Gerindra 14.2% and the third PKB 9.7%. And there are still 22.3% who are not answered (undecided).

"We are grateful, the highest electoral certainly adds to optimism. But the true electoral of the Party is in the hearts of the people, because the survey is only a momentary measure, and the most important thing is to work among the people with full political conviction," Hasto told reporters, Monday, March 29.

However, with this achievement, Hasto asked all PDIP members and cadres not to become complacent. It would be better if, he said, to work harder to help the people, especially during a pandemic like now.

"All Party movements that place the recruitment process, political education, regeneration, and cultural movements especially for young people, women, and involvement among the people in overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic are highly appreciated by the public," he said.

He added that the PDIP's highest electoral position has also increasingly become a driving force to unite with the people. And, build people's hopes in overcoming this COVID-19 pandemic.

"The solidity factor of the Party leadership and Party activities such as reforestation and mutual cooperation in overcoming the pandemic are also the causes of the high electoral level of the PDI-P," he added.

According to Hasto, the results of the survey are far more objective than surveys that are specifically conducted only for certain clusters of voters, such as young voters, women, or other segments of voters.

"The party also realizes that the election is still 3 years old. Although all survey results always place the PDI Perjuangan as the Party with the highest electability with numbers in the range of 20.7% - 31.3%, the actual map is determined in the 2024 Election. it is obligatory to improve discipline, strengthen ideological awareness, including preventing disgraceful acts," he said.
