JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that his government's sustainability in Prabowo Subianto's hands was very important to achieve Indonesia Gold 2045.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in his speech while attending the Cadre Apple and Closing the Gerindra Party Rapimnas at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, Saturday, August 31, 2024. He said this sustainability made time and resources not wasted.

"Pertainability is very important, both the sustainability of the people's program, be it the sustainability of infrastructure development and human resources, be it the sustainability of downstreaming of the IKN industry and the green economy that was previously also conveyed by Mr. Prabowo," Jokowi said on that occasion.

"Because that way, this nation will not run out of time, it will not run out of resources, it will not run out of energy just to change course, only to change the program for each leadership, only to change course for each leadership," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.

Furthermore, Jokowi also said that he fits Prabowo who will be the successor. He said this feeling arose because of mutual trust.

"Pak Prabowo several times said that he felt very suitable, felt very loved with me. Yes, so did I, that's how I felt," he said to the applause of the cadres and the invitees who were present.

He said it was lucky that the party bearing the Garuda symbol could have a general chairman Prabowo. However, Jokowi said the former Danjen Kopassus would belong to all Indonesian citizens after being inaugurated with his deputy, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"Ladies and gentlemen, everyone is very lucky to be led by General Purnawirawan Prabowo Subianto. It's very lucky to be led by someone who is very visionary, who has a patriot spirit, is concerned, never gives up, and when you talk as it is, what is good is said well, which is not good to say is not good," said Jokowi.

"However, later after the inauguration date of October 20, 2024, ladies and gentlemen must be willing to share. Because when inaugurated, Mr. Prabowo will belong to all Indonesian people, all Indonesian people from Sabang to Merauke, from Miangas to Rote Island, not only the Gerindra Party.
