People Must Have Ticket Bracelets To Join Holy Mass With Pope Francis At GBK Stadium

JAKARTA - The Supreme Leader of the Catholic Church throughout the world and the Head of State of the Vatican, Pope Francis will travel academically to Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Singapore from September 2 to 13, 2024.

Indonesia will be the first country in a series of visits by Pope Francis to the Asia Pacific region, namely on September 3 to 6, 2024. The event was attended by visits to Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea) and Vanimo from September 6 to 9, 2024, Dili (Timor Leste) from September 9 to 11, 2024 and Singapore from September 11 to 13, 2024.

During the four days of the visit, Pope Francis will be greeted by Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the welcome ceremony at the Merdeka Palace and continue meeting with government circles, civil society, and the diplomatic corps in the hall of the State Palace where the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Pope Francis will give his speech.

"Especially the celebration of the Holy Mass at GBK, people who can take part in mass are people who already have bracelet tickets," said Deputy Media Coordinator for the Visit Committee of the Holy Father Fransiskus in a written statement, Saturday, August 31.

Meanwhile, people who do not have bracelet tickets are not allowed to enter the GBK stadium area. This is done to maintain the security and order of the event that will take place.

"It is hoped that the people can attend by preparing the completeness of the requirements so that they can take part in the Holy Mass comfortably and safely," he said.

For people who do not have ticket bracelets, they can participate in the live streaming celebration of the Holy Mass on the social media channel Komsos KWI and a number of national television social media channels, or watch it through television broadcasts that will be broadcast on several national televisions.

In addition to television, the Holy Mass broadcast will also be broadcast through the Radio network of the Republic of Indonesia (RRI).
