Khofifah-Emil Rampung Undergoes Health Tests For The East Java Gubernatorial Election

SURABAYA - The Pair Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa and Emil Elestianto Dardak have completed a series of health checks as a condition for nominating the head of the 2024 East Java region.

"Alhamdulillah, this is the second day we are undergoing a medical examination. Today, the mental health test. Thank God it has been passed smoothly without any problems," said Khofifah at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Soetomo Surabaya as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 30.

For almost six hours, both of them have completed a series of mental health tests which are prerequisites for the nomination of the head of the East Java region in 2024 in addition to physical health tests that have been carried out the day before.

A series of mental health checks in accordance with the Decree of the Indonesian KPU No. 1090 of 2024 concerning Technical Guidelines for Health Examination in the Election of Governors and Deputy Governors, Regents and Deputy Regents, and/or Mayors and Deputy Mayors of 2024 have been passed.

Such as the MiNI ICD-10 and DPI MMI psychiatric interviews. Then psychological tests that include MMPI, intelligence tests, and personality tests. There was also an interview using assist and breast milk.

Khofifah is optimistic that this series of health tests will produce good and maximum results for both himself and Emil Dardak.

"Bismillah, the results are all good. Yesterday we also had a physical examination. God willing, all the results will be our reinforcement to get to the next process," said Khofifah.

The team from Dr. Soetomo Hospital is still planning to carry out a series of second batch of health tests for other candidate pairs. The results of all health checks of the candidate pairs will be plenary on Monday (2/9).

Then the results of the plenary session will be reported to the East Java KPU in accordance with the applicable SOP.

Khofifah emphasized that while waiting for the results of the health test, her party would take advantage of the time to maximize the process of greeting the community.

The incumbent candidate pairs promoted by these 15 political parties want to evenly introduce the public.

Because according to him, actively going down to greet the community and having a dialogue will unite the spirit and thoughts to jointly build a more advanced East Java and achieve more in the future.

"We have been walking to greet the community non-stop. I often go home for three days or four days not to go around. Because we want to do the best possible greeting," said Khofifah.

Khofifah hopes that all will be accompanied by prayers and support from the people of East Java for her party.

On the other hand, the East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak also expressed the same optimism regarding the results of future health tests. With the smooth process that has been passed, he is optimistic that the results will be good and in line with common expectations.

"Almost six hours, by cutting it with ishoma, there were quite a lot of questions earlier, even the written tests had 600 questions that had to be answered. But thank God everything went smoothly," he said.

Not only that, Emil also responded to the question of one of the journalists regarding the 2024 East Java gubernatorial election contestation which was attended by three pairs of candidates, all of whom were female candidates.

"In my opinion, Mrs. Khofifah has indeed set an example of how women can become effective leaders. So we are grateful that this opens up space for more Indonesian women to take part in the political path of government," said Emil Dardak.
