Bawaslu Reported To DKPP In The Aftermath Of The NIK Profiting Case As A Supporter Of Dharma-Kun, DKI KPU: We Learn

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) Wahyu Dinata responded to his party which was reported by the DKI Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) to the Election Organizers Honorary Council (DKPP).

DKI Bawaslu reported the DKI KPU to DKI for alleged ethical violations following the case of profiteering of the resident identification number (NIK) as a supporter of the Jakarta cagub-cawagub pair on an independent route, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana.

"We are still studying this, yes, we will prepare several more things, answers. What is certain is that whatever Bawaslu decides, will complete all existing processes," Wahyu said at the DKI Jakarta KPU Office, quoted Friday, August 30.

Bawaslu has issued a decision on the case of profiteering of NIK with the reported KPU DKI Jakarta and the Dharma-Kun pair. As a result, Bawaslu decided that the case of profiteering of NIK as a supporter of Dharma-Kun did not violate election crimes.

"The actions of the reported parties that have been reported by the complainant are considered not to have fulfilled the elements of Article 185A paragraph (1) and Article 185B of Law 10 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 1 of 2015," wrote the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Munandar Nugraha in the status of the report.

Even so, Bawaslu continued to report the KPU to the DKPP because there were allegations of violations of the code of ethics by the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU, East Jakarta City KPU, West Jakarta City KPU, Palmerah PPK, Kebon Jeruk PPK, Matraman PPK, Kelapa Gading PPK, related to the case.

"So it is forwarded to DKPP as stipulated in DKPP Regulation Number 2 of 2017 concerning the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct for General Election Organizers," said Munandar.

Selain itu, Bawaslu juga merekomendasikan kepada KPU Provinsi DKI Jakarta agar melakukan audit forensik untuk validasi KTP dan formulir model B.1-KWK Dharma-Kun yang diinput pada Silon dan membuka kembali akses https://infopemilu.kpu.go.id/Pemilihan/cek_pendukung.

Coordinator of the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu Public Relations, Data and Information Division, Quin Pegagan, assessed that the emergence of profiteering of residents' NIKs to support Dharma-Kun in Silon was a KPU error that could harm the community.

"We continue to provide recommendations to the KPU to conduct forensic tests on the Silon system, which is very detrimental to those whose NIKs are used incorrectly," he said.
