Couples With Masks Invite Their Children To Steal Motorbikes In Front Of Pulogadung Pharmacies

JAKARTA - The mode of motorcycle theft in East Jakarta is increasingly diverse. This time, the perpetrator of motorcycle theft used a woman and a small child to trick local residents so that their actions were not suspected.

Luckily, the perpetrator of the theft was caught on CCTV surveillance cameras at the scene. The perpetrator came riding a motorbike with a woman who is suspected of being the wife and one child.

The perpetrators visited the parking lot of a pharmacy located on Jalan Pulo Asem Timur Raya, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta. Then the woman and child got off the motorbike and got into a pharmacy pretending to buy medicine.

"He pretended to buy medicine with his son. But he came home first and went back to buy medicine in complicated. Pura - pretended to buy medicine with many questions," said Apriani, one of the eyewitnesses to the incident to reporters, Thursday, August 29.

Furthermore, when his wife and child were in the pharmacy, the male perpetrator immediately launched his action by breaking the ignition of an automatic type motorcycle belonging to the boarding house resident.

In just seconds, the motorcycle ignition key was able to be damaged by the perpetrator. When exiting the pharmacy, the couple allegedly shared their duties with each other.

"After her husband took action, his wife finished from the pharmacy and he brought his real motorbike. The husband was carrying the stolen motorbike. Yes, they brought the child. His wife was wearing a mask," he said.

The male perpetrator was in charge of riding the stolen motorbike, while the female perpetrator was in charge of riding his motorbike.

"It happened really quickly, we also didn't realize it. Incidentally, it's quiet here. It's prone to losing motorbikes often. The victims who live in boarding houses are making reports," he said.

Until now, the Pulogadung Police are still investigating the couple who stole the motorbike which was caught on CCTV cameras.
