Sandiaga Makes Sure Not To Run For West Java Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - PPP politician as well as Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno ensured that he would not run in the 2024 Pilkada.

This was conveyed by Sandiaga in his upload on his personal Instagram this afternoon.

Sandiaga will instead support the three candidates for governor candidates who will compete in the West Java gubernatorial election. They are PKS President Ahmad Syaikhu, Golkar politician Dedi Mulyadi, and West Java PDIP DPD chairman Ono Surono.

"Thanks to friends from various aspirations who have invited me to participate in the 2024 Pilkada contestation. This offer is a great honor for me, and I really appreciate the trust that has been given," Sandi said in his upload, Thursday, August 29.

Sandi revealed that his decision not to participate in the regional head contestation was taken after discussing with his family and being certified.

"I have decided that I currently support my friends who will run in the West Java Pilkada," he said.

"Ustadz Syaikhu, Kang Ilham Habibie, Kang Dedi Mulyadi, and Kang Ini Surono are the best candidates currently owned by West Java," Sandi wrote while marking the accounts of the four figures.

It is known that Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie has officially registered as a cagub cawagub couple promoted by PKS, PPP and NasDem. Meanwhile, the Dedi Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan pair was promoted by Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, Democrats, PSI, Hanura, Gelora, PKN, Garuda, Prima, Perindo and the Ummat Party.

Meanwhile, PDIP as Ono Surono's party has not officially announced who will be promoted in the West Java gubernatorial election. Previously, he only said there was a surprise from PDIP regarding the West Java cagub and cawagub.

There are even rumors that PDIP will carry Anies Baswedan and Susi Pudjiastuti for the West Java Pilkada.
