Airin Rachmi Diany was officially appointed as a candidate for governor of Banten by the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the Golkar Party (Golkar) in the 2024 gubernatorial election. The former Mayor of South Tangerang was paired with Ade Sumardi, a cadre of the bull party.

Airin Rachmi Diany is a politician who was born on August 28, 1976. He is the son of the couple Anwar Martadiharja (father) and Aisyah (mother), her husband, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana.
