Tangerang City KPU Limits The Number Of Paslon Introductors To 50 People

TANGERANG - The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has officially opened registration for the candidate pair (Paslon) Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Tuesday, August 27 to Thursday, August 29, 2024.

The chairman of the Tangerang City KPU, Qory Ayatullah, has limited the number of supporters who will take the candidate pairs to register.

The restrictions were carried out because the capacity of the Tangerang City KPU building was not too large. So that his party limits only 50 people to the ground floor, such as the yard that has been prepared.

"If to go up to the second floor, it is only the mayor candidate with representatives, the party leaders with the party's LO until verification," Qory said when confirmed, Tuesday, August 27.

"But for supporters, go to the page according to the bench. Approximately 50 people, on the first floor, in the yard we have prepared," he continued.

Meanwhile, if there is an introduction to the candidate pair for mayor and deputy mayor to bring processions, they will see conditions on the ground.

"But even if you bring the procession, it's adjusted to the conditions at the KPU," he said.

Registration for candidate pairs starts from 27 to 29 August 2024. After the registration process, the KPU in each region will conduct research on the requirements for candidates who have registered.

In the next stage, the KPU will announce the determination of a candidate pair who will compete in the 2024 Pilkada. The determination will be announced on September 22, 2024.
