DKI Jakarta DPRD For The New Period Targets The Equipment Of The Matang Council In October

JAKARTA - Members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2024-2029 period have officially taken office. For the time being, the position of DPRD leader is filled from the PKS faction, namely Achmad Yani as temporary chairman and Jhonny Simanjuntak from the PDIP faction as temporary vice chairman.

There is a lot to do before the new DPRD members start working to oversee the budget and government in Jakarta. They should form the council organs (AKD).

Jakarta DPRD temporary chairman, Achmad Yani, targets the formation of all AKDs to be completed by October.

‘Hopefully within 1 or 2 months it can be completed. We (as temporary DPRD leaders) only deliver,’ Yani told reporters, Tuesday, 27 August.

Yani elaborated, AKDs that need to be formed include the determination of the definitive Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2024-2029 period, the preparation of the composition of leaders and members in the five DPRD commissions, the composition of the DPRD Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda), the DPRD Budget Agency (Banggar), and the DPRD Honorary Board.

‘The temporary leaders are given the task of carrying out DPRD meetings. Then we also facilitate the existing factions. Furthermore, we will prepare (the formation of) DPRD rules as a guideline for carrying out its duties,’ Yani explained.

It is known that 106 members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2024-2029 period were inaugurated at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building on Monday, 26 August.

In this period, celebrity figures such as Chica Koeswoyo, Tina Toon and Astrid Kuya managed to get seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Of the 11 political parties that qualified for the Jakarta DPRD, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) won the most seats.

PKS received 1,012,028 votes to get 18 seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD for the 2024-2029 period. That number increased by 2 seats compared to the 2019-2024 period.

PDIP is in second place with 850,174 votes to get 15 seats. This number dropped dramatically compared to the acquisition of seats in the 2019 Pileg DPRD DKI Jakarta, which was 25 seats.

Gerindra, which came in third with 728,297 votes, won 14 seats. The number of seats obtained this time decreased compared to 2019, which was 19 seats.

Then the fourth position with the votes was occupied by Nasdem. The party, which bagged 545,235 votes, got 10 seats.

Then the fifth position is occupied by Golkar with 517,819 votes which get 10 seats. Furthermore, PKB, which received 470,682 votes, received 10 seats in the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

PAN received 10 seats and the Democratic Party 9 seats. PSI, which received 465,936 votes in the Pileg DPRD, received 8 seats. Perindo Party, which received 160,203 votes, and PPP with 153,240 votes each received 1 seat in the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
