The Two Front Paths Of The Indonesian KPU Office Look Quiet, No Demonstrators Have Come

JAKARTA - Two sections of Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, which are right in front of the office of the General Election Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KPU RI) are permanently closed with concrete barriers, Monday afternoon, August 26.

Although there were closures of two roads, there was no visible mass demonstration of participants around the KPU RI building.

The masses had previously held a demonstration with material guarding the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the age limit for regional head candidates of at least 30 years for the Governor and Deputy Governor.

From VOI's observation at the location, at around 15.30 WIB there was no mass demonstration that held a demonstration in the KPU RI office area, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta. However, the joint apparatus has been on standby around the KPU RI area.

In addition to the placement of joint officers, several police car vehicles have also been on standby in front of the Indonesian KPU Office. In addition, there are also fire engines parked on Jalan Imam Bonjol.

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro appealed to vehicle drivers to avoid vital object areas to anticipate traffic congestion.

"People who use roads to avoid vital object areas that are places of demonstration, and look for other alternative roads to avoid traffic congestion," he said when confirmed, Monday, August 26.
