There Is A Contra Mass At The PKB Congress, Cak Imin: Show Your Faces Don't Be A Soldier NU Cadre!

NUSA Dua - Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar could not stop thinking about the emergence of a group of protesters who rejected the holding of the 6th PKB Congress in Nusa Dua, Bali.

The crowd wearing the PKB logo T-shirt planned to enter the area of holding the congress at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. Had sparked clashes, they were finally dispersed by pecalang and the police.

The emergence of the masses against the congress occurred during a feud between the PKB and the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board heating up. During the current turnover of the general chairman, PBNU wanted to restore the PKB so that it was in accordance with the values they thought had deviated.

Cak Imin also believes that the mass action against this congress is an ordered thug. Therefore, Cak Imin asked whoever was the mastermind behind the action to act manly without hiding their hands.

"I would like to urge you, if you are good people, come fine, without having to send thugs to disturb us. If you are good people, be gentle people, show your face. If you are NU cadres, don't be a coward NU cadre," said Cak Imin at the second day of the congress, Sunday, August 25.

On the one hand, the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives appreciated the assistance from pecalang or Balinese traditional police and also the police who helped suppress the riots by dissolving the crowd.

"It was not us who faced it, but Balinese pecalang-pecalang. Balinese pecalang-pecalang itu keamanan masyarakat yang tidak pernah ingin ada geger-ger di Bali. Alhamdulillah ditangani dengan sangat sangat cepat," jelas Cak Imin.

Yesterday, the pecalang or Balinese traditional police dispersed a group of people wearing T-shirts bearing the PKB logo holding an action around the location of the implementation of the 6th PKB Congress. Police officers were also present at the disbandment of the mass of the unknown action.

They initially came on motorbikes and dozens of buses with gathering points at Lagoon Square, Nusa Dua. They also unfurled banners that read "return the PKB to NU". Also carried out the burning of banners by the masses.

The mass of action could not reach the location of the congress which was held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center. When dispersed by pecalang and the police, the masses of action did not accept it and there was friction.
