Dedi Mulyadi Yakin KIM Solid Supports Himself In The 2024 West Java Pilkada

JAKARTA - Former Purwakarta Regent Dedi Mulyadi said that the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) remained solid in supporting him as a candidate for governor in the 2024 West Java Pilkada despite the Constitutional Court's (MK) decision regarding the threshold for election nomination.

The decision number 60 makes political parties free to carry their own candidates for the 2024 Simultaneous Pilkada.

"From KIM, everything is clear," said Dedi in the Tanah Abang area, Jakarta, Friday, August 23, as reported by Antara.

He explained that KIM's letter of recommendation to him was just waiting for the time to be handed over from each political party.

"Yes, it's done, so it's just an administrative matter for submission. We've gone through several interviews with various parties," he said.

However, he did not explain in more detail the figure of the candidate for deputy governor or assistant in the West Java Regional Election.

According to him, the figure who will accompany him comes from the Golkar Party.

"We are waiting for Golkar's assistant. Golkar is waiting for the Kemenkumham Decree. So later Golkar will provide recommendations for the deputy governor, the deputy governor candidate will wait for the Kemenkumham Decree," explained Dedi.

Previously, Monday (5/8), West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi's Candidate would fully hand over to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) regarding his prospective deputy candidates in the 2024 West Java Governor and Deputy Governor Elections.

"Who is the candidate for deputy? It was handed over to the coalition," said Dedi Mulyadi in Purwakarta, Monday.

Dedi admitted that he did not have special criteria regarding the person who would accompany him in the 2024 West Java Pilkada.
