Ahmad Luthfi Calls Kaesang Not Carried In The Central Java Gubernatorial Election Because Of Political Considerations

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi explained that Kaesang Pangarep would not be promoted to the Central Java Pilkada due to political considerations.

"That's a political problem, right. Those are all party commitments, meaning that our political journey is determined by the supporting parties," said Ahmad Luthfi as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 23.

Ahmad Luthfi did not explain in detail the dynamics of what happened in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) until finally Kaesang was not promoted as a candidate for Deputy Governor of Central Java.

Nevertheless, Ahmad Luthfi admitted that he was ready if he had to be paired with anyone, including Taj Yasin Maimoen.

According to him, Taj Yasin is an influential figure in the Central Java region.

He hopes that the influence of Taj Yasin can make it easier for him to reap the voices of the people in Central Java in the 2024 Pilkada.

"I only ordered and asked for blessings from my colleagues and the community, I hope that later I can benefit the people and the Central Java region," said Ahmad Luthfi.

Previously, the name Kaesang Pangarep was rumored to be running in the 2024 Pilkada in several areas, including Jakarta and Central Java.

However, after the Golkar Party brought Ridwan Kamil to become a candidate for governor of Jakarta, Kaesang's opportunity to fight in the Jakarta regional elections was closed.

The issue has also developed again that the youngest son of Indonesian President Joko Widodo will advance in the Central Java Pilkada.

This is considered the most likely to happen considering that Kaesang is considered to have good electability in Central Java.

After a variety of waves of issues, KIM finally chose to carry the candidate pair Ahmad Luthfi and Taj Yasin Maimoen to fight in Central Java.
