Forward To Central Java Gubernatorial Election, Ahmad Luthfi Muncur From The National Police After Determination Of Candidates For Regional Heads

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi confirmed that he would resign from the National Police after being appointed as a candidate for governor of Central Java by the provincial KPU.

"If the regulations are after the appointment of a candidate, we will resign. Not yet, just register yet," said Ahmad Luthfi when met at the Gerindra Party DPP building, reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 23.

Luthfi and his partner, Taj Yasin Maimoen, will register as candidates for governor and deputy governor of Central Java on August 29, 2024.

Now the police with the rank of Commissioner General and serving as Inspector General of the Ministry of Trade will only focus on preparing administrative requirements to be submitted to the KPU.

Previously, based on the election schedule uploaded on the KPU's official website, registration of candidate pairs for regional heads will be opened from August 27 to August 29, 2024.

After that, the KPU will conduct research on the requirements of candidate pairs from 27 August 2024 to 21 September 2024.

After the research process is completed, the KPU will then determine the candidate pair on September 22, 2024.

If referring to the schedule, it is certain that Ahmad Luthfi will resign from the National Police Institution after September 22, 2024.
