RK-Suswono Registers With DKI KPU On August 28

JAKARTA - Jakarta's candidate for governor and deputy governor Ridwan Kamil-Suswono will register with the DKI KPU on August 28, 2024.

"God willing, I will be with the deputy governor candidate Suswono and if there are no obstacles on the 28th, I will register in Jakarta," said Ridwan Kamil as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 23.

The man who is familiarly called RK admitted that he had prepared various administrative requirements to be submitted to the DKI KPU.

RK was also asked what strategy will be used to win the regional elections in Jakarta. He admitted that he could not reveal various campaign strategies before registering officially at the DKI KPU.

"We are in the stage called political administration registration when we enter political contestation, that's where we can convey ideas with the media," said RK.

Ridwan Kamil hopes to get quality opponents in the Jakarta Pilkada so that the war of ideas and work programs will occur in a healthy manner.

"The more (candidates) the better. Residents have many choices of programs that are suitable in the future for Jakarta," said RK.

Previously, RK had also been promoted by his party, Golkar, when it was still chaired by Airlangga Hartarto.

After Golkar, one of the parties in KIM, PSI, also participated in nominating RK to become the Governor of Jakarta.

Later, after the two parties nominated RK, KIM decided to cooperate with PKS by appointing his cadre, Suswono, to become a candidate for deputy governor of Jakarta accompanying RK.
