Heru Budi Calls Fasum Damage Due To Yesterday's Demonstration Risk, Provincial Government Will Improve

Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Province Heru Budi Hartono spoke about the damage to public facilities and social facilities due to demonstrations at the DPR/MPR Building in Jakarta, last Thursday. According to Heru, damage to public facilities (fasum) and social facilities (fasos) is a risk from demonstration activities carried out by the community. "Yes, that's the risk of an activity," said Heru, who was met on the sidelines of a free nutritious trial activity in Rawa Badak, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, August 23. Nevertheless, Heru hopes that the damage to public facilities and social facilities will no longer occur. For public facilities that have been damaged, Heru said this is the responsibility of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov). "The DKI Provincial Government will repair it. Hopefully, it will not take place again for the damage to existing social facilities. But yes, that is the responsibility of the DKI Provincial Government," said Heru. Previously, demonstrations in front of the DPR Building, Jakarta, on Thursday (22/8) were chaotic between the masses and the Police. The flames were seen around the area of the parliament building as police forced the crowd to disperse.

One of the facilities damaged by the riots was the Stadium bus stop on Jalan Asia Afrika. The officers immediately extinguished the blaze.
