JAKARTA - Qatar Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani will visit Iran in the coming days.
Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani is scheduled to consult Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, on important bilateral and regional issues, Tasnim news agency said.
Qatar, along with Egypt and the United States, has acted as mediators to ensure a ceasefire to end the 10-month war between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas group in Gaza.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken left Qatar on Tuesday after a quick trip to the Middle East to provide urgency in an effort to broker a ceasefire deal in Gaza, with a deal still difficult to reach so far.
