Chairman of the Legislative Board of the House of Representatives, Wihadi Wiyanto, together with Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Baleg Achmad Baidowi and Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, met thousands of protesters who demonstrated in front of the Indonesian Parliament Building this afternoon. The mass of action consisting of elements of students, influencers, workers and other elements of society demanded that the DPR cancel the ratification of the Pilkada Bill and obey the decision of the Constitutional Court which changed the threshold for candidacy in the Pilkada. The three members of the council walked out of the DPR building at 12.20 WIB, after waiting for the demonstrators to sounded the Dzuhur adhan. "DPR stupid DPR," exclaimed the crowd when Wihadi, Awiek and Habiburokhman were about to leave the gate of the parliamentary complex. Due to the unfavorable situation, the leadership of Baleg and Commission III of the DPR canceled their oration. Instantly boisterous protesters denounced the council members who wanted to meet him. "Traitors," exclaimed the demonstrator. After returning to the DPR building, Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR, Habiburokhman, said that his party would accommodate the aspirations of the demonstrators to be conveyed to the leadership of the DPR. He ensured that the DPR did not ratify the Pilkada Bill today. "So this is it. We will actually meet friends who will demonstrate in the future, but because of the field situation, it is not possible to meet there," said Habiburokhman.

"We are open to some people to express our aspirations. Today there is no ratification of the new Pilkada Law. Therefore, we will convey the aspirations of our friends in front of us," he continued.
