JAKARTA - The general chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, invited President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to join as a cadre of the Golkar Party. Because according to him, Jokowi already felt comfortable being in the middle of the party bearing the banyan tree.

The offer was made by Bahlil when delivering his remarks at the closing ceremony of the Golkar Party's XI National Conference at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 21, evening.

"Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Jokowi, who is willing to attend and always be seen wearing yellow clothes, (shows) that you feel comfortable taking shelter under a banyan tree," said Bahlil.

Bahlil then invited Jokowi to join the Golkar Party if it was uncomfortable to be elsewhere. It is known, so far Jokowi has been known as a variety of PDIP cadres.

"Sir, if in other places it is uncomfortable, here sir. We will cover it, sir," said Bahlil.

Bahlil was also surprised to see Jokowi wearing a yellow shirt tonight. In fact, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources thought Jokowi was the new cadre of the Golkar Party.

"I think there are new Golkar cadres who have appeared, it turns out that the President, because his clothes are already yellow. I think this patent is also suitable for goods," said Bahlil.
