JAKARTA - Ridwan Kamil's wife, Atalia Praratya officially resigned from the contestation for the nomination of the candidate for mayor of Bandung and a candidate as a candidate for deputy governor of West Java from the Golkar Party. The resignation from Atalia was expressed through his Instagram social media.
"After going through the discussion process and considering various things and a much bigger perspective and kindness with self-awareness at this moment, officially allow me to resign from the mayor of Bandung and/or the candidate for deputy governor of West Java from the Golkar Party," said Atalia Praratya, Tuesday, August 20.
Atalia Praratya is grateful for the attention of the people of West Java who always ask her to run in the 2024 regional elections.
"From various surveys conducted both externally and internally, thank God I have a separate place in the hearts of the people, especially the people of Bandung City and West Java," he said.
"This is certainly an honorary value for me, something priceless and an important asset to be able to compete in the 2024 regional election contestation according to the sprint I received a few months ago," he said.

Despite resigning, Atalia admitted that she was ready to go to the field to help Golkar cadres who advanced in the 2024 West Java Pilkada.
"God willing, I will remain in the community to hear and fight for their hopes. Finally, as a form of responsibility, I am ready to go down together to encourage the victory of the cadres who have been appointed to the regional elections in Bandung and West Java," he added.
