JAKARTA - Russia attacked a children's cafe in Ukraine's Zaporizhia region, wounding three minors.

Governor Ivan Fedorov said a child was seriously injured after the attack on Malokaterynvo village.

Reported by Reuters on Tuesday, August 20, Fedorov did not specify the type of weapon used to attack cafes in Ukraine.

The Russian military occupied parts of the region as soon as Moscow launched a massive invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and regularly attacked the Kyiv-controlled territory.

Previously reported, Russia also attacked energy infrastructure in northern Ukraine through missile and drone attacks. The attack caused heavy fires in the western part of the country.

Ukrainian troops shot down three ballistic missiles and 25 of the 26 drones launched in attacks in nine regions of the country, Ukrainian air force commanders said.

Regional officials in the northeastern region of Sumy bordering Russia said the energy facility was affected, causing power outages in 72 settlements with more than 18,500 customers.

Energy workers rushed to repair the damage, the local government said through the Telegram messaging application reported by Reuters, Tuesday, August 20.

Ukraine's energy facilities have been bombarded almost every day over the past six months as the war continues following Russia's massive invasion in February 2022.
