Russian Marines Arrest Dozens Of Ukrainian Soldiers In Kursk

JAKARTA - Russian Marines arrested 19 Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region, Russia.

RIA news agency, Monday, August 19, published a video of the arrest of the Russian army. But Reuters has not been able to confirm the truth of this arrest.

Meanwhile, Russian investigators said Ukraine attacked and damaged a third bridge over the Seym river in Russia's Kursk region.

"On August 18, as a result of the targeted shooting using rocket weapons and artillery against residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in Karyzh village, the third bridge over the Seym river was damaged," said a representative of the Russian Investigative Committee.

The video statement was posted on a Telegram channel belonging to the Russian state TV host, Vladimir Solovyov.

Russian troops have been battling Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region since August 6, as thousands of Kyiv soldiers break through Russia's western border which is very embarrassing for top Russian military officials.

Russia's foreign ministry said on Friday that Ukraine was using a Western rocket, most likely US-made HIMARS, to destroy a bridge over the Seym river in the Glushkovo district.

The Ukrainian air force commander claimed on Sunday Ukraine's air force destroyed a second bridge, thus limiting the supply capacity of the Russian group that gave resistance to Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk.
