Jokowi Lantik Angga Raka Prabowo Becomes Deputy Minister Of Communication And Information

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Angga Raka Prabowo as Deputy Minister of Communication and Information (Wamenkominfo) today, Monday, August 19. The inauguration was held at the State Palace, Jakarta at 09.30 WIB.

The activity began by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya. A number of ministers and officials were present at this activity, including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto to Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

Furthermore, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52/M of 2024 concerning the Appointment of the Deputy Minister of Communication and Information for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period was read out. President Jokowi then led the procession of taking the oath of office of minister.

"I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state," said Jokowi, dictating the oath of office that Angga attended at the inauguration.

"That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of my position, work my best, with a full sense of responsibility."

Angga's inauguration indicates that the Ministry of Communication and Information currently has two deputy ministers, namely Nezar Patria and Angga Raka. For information, Angga Raka is a Gerindra Party politician who is also a special staff of the Gerindra Party Chair Prabowo Subianto.

Then, President Jokowi also appointed Hasan Nasbi as Head of the Presidential Communication Office. This new nomenclature was formed based on Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2024 which was signed by Jokowi on August 15 and promulgated on that same day.

This institution was formed to realize the effectiveness of implementing the president's communication and strategic information in a synergistic and integrated manner.
